My name is Laura, and I've been ordained by the Universal Life Church.  I'd like to share with you why I've decided to provide this service.  Several years ago, my cousin was to be married.  She and her fiancee had chosen my family's church and pastor for the ceremony. He required pre-marital counseling before the wedding, which they were happy to go through. Two weeks before the wedding, they attended their final session. The pastor wanted them to promise they would attend church every Sunday from then on out. Being honest people, they told him they would try, but couldn't promise anything. Both of them worked jobs that did require some Sunday morning hours. He told them if they couldn't do that, then they would not be married in his church! So you can imagine - 2 weeks before your wedding, having to scramble to find some place else to get married, another officiant, etc.

I don't ever want another family to have to go through that.

I am comitted to providing a personalized ceremony that fits both the personalities and wishes of the happy couple.

Great news!!!  We've added another officiant to the Vows Your Way team.  Mark Edwards has just been ordained in the Universal Life Church and has decided to join me in this journey.  Now we can offer a male officiant for those who request one, and can also offer double ceremonies.
